Unit 12 week 5/6

I began creating the body shape of my creature which is based on a prehistoric rhino called elasmotherium in-order to make this model I started of with a cylinder manipulating and extruding it to make this shape.

After creating the model I tested what it would look like if I turbo smoothed it which looks really good but in-order to make the high poly version look the way I want it to I have to make the low poly version exaggerated I also used a tool called symmetry which is very useful which makes one side of the model look identical to the other side and copies everything you do on one side to the other which is very powerful and save a ton of time.

Once I tested the turbo smooth I then applied hair/fur to it to see what it looked like and I haven’t yet decided what I wanted it to look like on my creature or if I even want hair on my creature.

This is the final version of my model I’m quite happy with how it turned out as I have mostly been making models of structure and objects and this is my first major model of a animal/’creature.

This is what it looks like once it has been rendered the hair looks more detailed, this is what I imagined it would look like and I think it came out really well hopefully I can expand on it in someway,
