While I was researching I came across a video on YouTube that was a video on how to make hair and fur in 3ds max which would be useful for my project as I am trying make a reasonably detailed creature/beast and I could incorporate fur in to the design.

After I watched a bit of the video I began to try it myself as a test, in-order to add hair/fur first I had to click on modifiers and then click on the hair and fur option and after that I clicked on hair and fur (WSM) and the the hair/fur will be automatically placed on what ever model is selected.

General parameters is a useful option that can be used to change the length, thickness and hair count.

Styling Is useful because you can use tools such as hair brush which allows you to change the direction and manipulate patches of hair, hair cut allows you to cut sections of hair down to a lower level or completely and re-comb combs the hair/fur back.

After I had got the hair/fur on to the model I played around with it and made a style that I really like and would like to place on my model once I make it.
